It's a sick Monster Rancher game with a dose of reality, with an ending that obscure the message of the game. But as i said, potential. The devs managed to came up with an interesting world and i would love to see it getting explored either in a story update, a sequel, or even a spin-off game. Its a management game with a nice artstyle and some really dark themes, also the path towards the true ending is long and repetitive so its definetely not for everyone, but If you can look past those imperfections this is a truly nice and unique game.Its also short (4 hours to get 20+ achievements, like 8 to repeat everything over and over again until you get the true ending) and the management side is extremely simple and honestly not that engaging, but It has its own charm that made it worthwhile, but maybe not "full price worthwhile". Recommended but only on sale. great story, beautiful art :)and those screaming voices really gave me chills.. ouch, oof, my feelings, oof. +Monster girls cute.+I have 7 daughters now. +Easy to get a hang of, and if you have trouble still, there's a guide book you can click on whenever. +Multiple endings, but you have pretty good control on which ending you get. (meaning: you don't get screwed up and can't go back, unless you get a "bad end".) -You kill the monster girls. :( or. well. not I guess. if you want to. -Kinda short. I enjoyed it though, so, I guess I don't mind. It only took me about 7 hours to beat with some extra endings. I'm not a full completion kind of person, but I think if I wanted to get all the stuff it might take a few more hours only. -Sometimes the things you do feel tedious. -Would have liked to know about the villagers a bit more. A little was added with the DLC but, eh. tips: ~If you don't like repetitive things, this game might not be for you. ~Make at least two save files. One for doing the true end, and one for doing the extra endings. ~The game warns you, but there are dark themes in this game, so if you don't think you can handle it, maybe it's not for you.. So far I am really enjoying this game, enough to write a review. This game is dark and emotional but always keeps me invested. The story is interesting and the many combinations of transmutions keep me guessing on what will be created. Its a good time.. Set the level of humanity into lim->0,just for one goal (his daughter), perfectly defined what bio-chemist do in their natural life, or we can call them their ancient name,'alchmist', we can also see thos 'ne*ds' in our natural life. And you might never know what they truly understand how to fulfill their 'desire' because they can be anywhere in this world, but only the smartest can succeed. "this is the reason 'knowledge' is the ancient desire from those guys.(PS: I worte these after high don't mind me please). This game is literally a princess maker. You just murder them to make more princesses. 10/10. Greatest father of the year simulator i've ever played.I give it 8 of 10 Bonedrewds.. I really wish there were an in between recommend option, like a meh. Like the trailer suggests, this is a game where you play an Alchemist who wakes up with no memories and a daughter whose soul is removed. His entire goal in the game is to save his daughter's soul and bring her back to life; to do this, he makes and destroies many homunculi girls as part of a month long ritual to attempt to put his daughter's soul back in her body. I did really enjoy most of this game. I really liked the dark story telling with the homunculi girls, they were all very interesting to me and had unique personalities. My favorite part of the story were the letters they would send Faust, some girls would become terrified of you, some actually were willing sacrifices, and others were convinced they were different. These letters unfortunately had no efffect on game play, but I really enjoyed them, and it made the sacrificing more important narratively. Personally, I'm more of a story player, so these letters as well as befriending the villegers really made me not care about the grinding game play. It is repetative, but I didn't really mind. I wanted to make all the daughters and get all the letters and most of the semi-endings. So I really recommend the first 5.7/5.8 hours. The problem is the ending. I won't spoil it here, but I feel like to enjoy this game you have to be a story player *because* the game play is repetative, but then to enjoy the story, the actual plot fails it. The ending doesn't make a lot of sense. It is a plot twist so you could argue that its supposed to be unexpected, but it introduces so many new elements to it and there is no hinting from the game, except for one character arguably. The ending does have a sense of poetry, but the convoluted and arguably out of character decisions make it fall flat. It seems like the story in general was meant to be a commentary/mirror for child labor, which I think was very strong in the beginning, but the ending really got away from that story, which was the heart of the game and the experience. It does comment on the type of person Faust is, but theres nothing else. The reason I bought this game was to explore Faust's relationships with the homunculi, but that was totally forgotten in the end for a convoluted and out of character ending that wanted to be a twist and served no other purpose. I would recommend it at a lower price. Buy it when its on sale, and go for the letters.
